29th April Wilpena Pound

Today we decided to do the walk to St Marys Peak a 21k walk so we set off around 7:30am walked and walked all day with lots of stops.
Did not make it to the peak as too far and was a bit awful the last 1.8ks so had lunch on a big rock overlooking Wilpena.  Now to make our way back and did not arrive in camp until 4pm and everyone was totally buggered.  Bed early.

28th April Cradock – Wilpena Pound

Today we are heading to the Flinders via Hawker, a great little spot we camped in last night behind a pub.
We stopped in Hawker for a brief moment just to fill the car with fuel then continued on found the other at a lookout and stopped for a few minutes.
We arrived in Wilpena Pound around 10:30am and found a spot to camp.  It has not change dry and dusty as it was when we visited years ago.
Took a drive out and along a scenic route and we did not arrive home until 4:30pm.

27th April Burra – Cradock

We left Burra and stopped at Peterbough to stock up on the food we had to get rid of and had a quick look around town while we were there.
Stopped at Orroro for a quick lunch then onto Cradock and camped behind the pub as it was the only thing there.
Great little pub and we had a few drinks there in the afternoon.

26th April Bushmans camp – Burra

We left camp around 8:30 heading for Renmark and before we get there we have to pass through the inspection for fruit and veg at the border.  They did stop us and look in the van fridge but all ok as I cooked a lot of my vegies the night before.
Now onto Renmark we found the visitor centre had a walk down the street came across a bakery and had some morning tea.  Walked back to the car and headed out to a lookout south of town then to a brewery.
Now we are on our way to Burra and did not arrive until 4pm and went straight to caravan park which we found out that it was full and we had to go to showground.
Out for tea at the local pub and had a feed.

25th April Swan Hill – Bushmans camp

We are heading west today through Mildura so leaving camp around 8:30am and on the road incase we find anything on the way to see.
When we arrived in Mildura we drove down around the water and up into the town as it was Anzac day nothing was opened until 1pm.  We had a wonder down main street back to the car for lunch.  Made our way out of town after 1pm and heading to Bushmans camp 60ks away. Great little ski caravan park overlooking water.

Lovely park and we have a site looking over the river and it is a very hot day 30deg hope it cools down soon.  Filling in the day by looking around the town and booking into the light show tomorrow night.

Day 3 Edward River -    Reedy Lake 22nd April
A lazy morning as we are heading into Echuca to have a look around, We left camp around 10am arrived in Echuca 10:30am and found the visitor centre to leave the vans.   After looking in the visitor centre we walked the 600m down to the wharf to see the paddle steamers.
Arriving at the discovery centre we decided to take a trip on a paddle steamer () for the hr which was really good.  Then once back we took a walk through the discovery centre which took us around the wharf.  We took a walk down the main street before heading back to the van for lunch.
Now we will head off to the next place which we were not sure would be as we knew we would not make it to Swan Hill as the day was getting on.  So down the road a way we discovered a sigh that Said Reedy Lake and what a find only one other camp in the ground so we invaded them.  Beautiful lake and we sat and watch the birds for the afternoon.

Day 2 Ariah Park -   Edward River  21st April

Ready to venture off around 9am and onto the next place, the first little town we went through was Narrandra Pretty, very flat out this way and very dry think they need some rain out here.

Yes it was fantastic and the pies were pretty good we sat at the back of the pie shop and ate our pies then walked back to the cars. We went on the outskirts of Finley heading to Deniliquin at around 2pm then we made our way down to Edward River Campground to see if was good to stay the night and we found a great spot got the vans in and set up along the river sat around and had a rest before dinner.
